He was a failure at life who failed to adjust to the Soviet Union when he lived there for a while. He tried to whack Edwin A. Walker, missed, and had left notes to his wife saying what he was about to do. That's not random. It's a pattern. Some guy tried to whack Reagan to impress Jodie Foster, now that's random.

  7. They copied the Space Shuttle. That's how bad things were. Their scientific/engineering juggernaut was built off reverse-engineered tech and stuff done in satellite states. They had a tremendous disadvantage in computers.
