 @2ndexplosivebullet 170000 gasoline car fires probably includes 80s and 90s cars with worse safety features. Most Teslas are less than a decade old.

@2ndexplosivebullet How many cars sold in 2009? Did they sell 90% of their cars in 2009? No. So most Teslas on the road are modern 2010-present built. There's millions more ICE cars on the road, so they have more fires.

@2ndexplosivebullet All vehicles are combustible. The plastics, fabric, etc. all burn easily when a fire gets going. Gasoline and diesel are very combustible but it's difficult to set a major fire in the tank. "Combustion literally creates explosions to propel vehicles" - which needs a VERY precise air/fuel ratio.
