  1. ​ @NothingIsKnown00  According to the Finnish trials, the F-16 was cheaper to fly than the Gripen C. In no way is the Gripen E cheap to fly. Fun fact, South Africa couldn't afford to fly their Gripen fleet so they put half of it in storage.

  8. But the F-35B is meant to be operated from FARPs. The US either uses allied airbases close to the area or aircraft carriers, meaning their fighters are not in America, they're always in range of the front. The bombers can come from America thanks to in flight refueling, though.
