Her pistol is actually a greater threat to public safety than rifles but somehow you accept it. How can you talk about mischaracterization when capacity is a function of the magazine and not the rifle? You barely understand the subject but try to lecture us. That's why the nation is split. Have you considered that maybe the reason they're used in crime more often is because they're concealable? And that's why in most countries handguns are more regulated than rifles? @shoshanaasimov7243 okay, but like I mentioned above handguns are several times worse for society than any kind of rifle. Also, by letter of the law assault rifles were restricted in 1934 - before they were even invented - and banned in 1986. You cannot buy an assault rifle, only transfer existing ones in a process that requires tens of thousands of dollars and a 9 month delay while the BAFTE processes your transfer application.
