  1. +Larry Roberts the economy is a topic that is difficult to argue because 2007-2008 was a crisis so it was at a low point and the factors that drove the economy up were largely unrelated to the presidency. It's not that the economy is "idiot proof", because it's really easy to crash it. Both republicans and democrats have ideals that damage the economy but the market is thankfully resilient to the little changes a president can make.

Products and services that obey the capitalist market forces usually have become better and cheaper in time. Everything that gets subsidized and tangled with the government becomes more expensive.
