The extra taxes on companies will be passed down to consumers, companies that can't remain competitive with the extra taxes will move overseas, and the VAT will also affect your purchasing power. All the money you'll get through UBI, you'll be paying it back with the increased cost of goods.
Even if it works out like Yang claims. It's still a scam. For example, with an extra thousand bucks you won't be eating double. You won't be driving twice as long to work. You won't get two netflix accounts and you won't be acquiring two internet or phone services. But people will do things like buy more pairs of shoes, more clothes, drink more Starbucks, order more things from Amazon, etc. UBI will steal money from *all businesses*, even the ones that won't get extra demand, but give it back to corporations that benefit from consumerism.
