  1.  @Max-zr7hr  people love to paint scientists as a bunch of lab-coat-wearing, mustache-twirling villains in some ivory tower all acting like a hive mind. Ignoring how most times scientists were proven wrong, it was by other scientists. Yes, there are ugly truths about how science is funded and the broken "publish or perish" logic leading to peer-review that barely reviews at all, but they're hardly an arrogant monolith.
