@Jebus_gT jesus and there's no way to industrialize a country except through stalinism? Whoa I guess industrialization compensates for all his crimes against humsnity.

@Jebus_gT I'm an idiot because you can't read and put words on my post? Industrialization in the west caused profound changes in society and even the nature government, that isn't to say that bad things were not happening but if I purchased some machines and sent them to a developing country and said "okay, let's industrialize this nation!" there's no fucking obligation to cause any harm to anyone. If Stalin wanted to industrialize... just purchase machines and get people from the universities to continue learning and developing. Whoa. Big fucking whoop. No death, no work camps. Your argument that Stalin was actually a good guy because he industrialized a nation makes no fucking sense considering how much MURDER had to happen for his state to continue in power. Your strawman argument makes no sense and doesn't actually address any of my points. Stalin was a murderer, and evil man and despite being an atheist part of me hopes the devil himself is leaving iron in the forge and repeatedly sticking cherry red metal up Stalin's wretched asshole for eternity. And people who defend Stalin are welcome to join him.

@Jebus_gT not really, my argument in a nutshell is that mass murderers deserve the cherry red hot anal pointy stick. And so do the apologists.

After the USSR fell he went on to bring down other targets. Was it is pure greed? Or was it another economic hit ordered by someone? We only have wild speculation, but I'm not gonna forgive some dude for killing my enemy and then turning the gun on me.

@MrVancityeagle you gotta fill me in on this, I thought the Kochs were old news. I knew they used to fund conservative/libertarian think tanks but haven't they scaled back? Did they start betting on another "horse"?

He was one of the few people pushing for the teaching of liberal/capitalist economic theory in universities behind the iron curtain. Before the union fell many people were demanding economic reforms and the governments were forced to liberalize the economy. He wasn't the sole responsible but he was an agent for change.

Unless I am mistaken he started dumping pounds to devalue it causing others to be mislead into dumping even more. I don't think it's legal to do the same in Wall Street, you can bet against a company but you can't pretend that a company is about to crash to send shareholders into a panic and reap their stocks.
