@workout.matter790 because sanctions never lead to war, right? Let's cripple the Russian economy until they see no option but to lash out, real peaceful solution there.

@healer81 war doesn't make money. Spending taxpayer dollars to create craters only lines the pockets of those making the bombs. Everyone else loses.

@Fifthcaptain the EU will outlast the US? Euroskepticism is probably at an all-time high and many countries are openly defying the EU.

@workout.matter790 "Literally the function of sanctions is to put pressure on a country to avert a war." Which politician told you that? lmao Sanctions are literally a preparatory stage for war by using a virtual blockade to deny the enemy resources before the fight even starts. Empirical evidence suggests they don't actually work most of the time. Consider the following: Russia was already under US sanctions. They still ran their ops on social media. Oh we're gonna sanction them even more? That's sure to stop them.

@workout.matter790 the US did fight the USSR in proxy wars. And doesn't Iran fund terrorism according to the government, meaning that despite sanctions they're willing to finance the enemies of the USA? "If their oligarchs stop making money?" - lmao that's the problem. They'll always make money. It's the lower classes that will suffer. American gun owners loved to buy Russian AKs. After the sanctions hit, now the AKs are being sold to areas in active warzones. Rather than putting holes in paper now those rifles are putting holes in people while Putin's friends keep making money. Thanks Obama.

@workout.matter790 Japan. "Congratulations for educating us on the proxy wars" - so basically you are denying that antagonizing Iran has not lead to US enemies being benefited, antagonizing North Korea has not lead to US enemies being benefited, antagonizing Russia has not lead to US enemies being benefited? War and therefore the deaths of US servicemen have been directly caused by the US foreign policy, but apparently it doesn't count because you're thankful for my lesson. Hell US foreign policy lead to 9/11, basically the opening salvo of the Afghanistan war. "AK-47's have never been sold to anyone other than the Americans" - nice strawman. Russians were happy to make money off Americans but the denial of that profit has sent rational agents in a global market to seek the demand for their supply. But apparently mentioning the administration under which the sanctions happened will send you into a fit of laughter so I won't name any more presidents. "God I love embarrassing people's arguments to shit." - lmao how? I proved all your points wrong and even called you out for the use of logical fallacies. You can't disprove the arguments so you laugh from incredulity and misrepresent what I said. You're an embarrassment to yourself.

@healer81 you said war was less painful than losing money, but you're gonna lose money either way...
1
@zazapachuliaisbetterthanjo6254 the dream of globalism caused the conflicts, but okay
1
@zazapachuliaisbetterthanjo6254 without globalism there would be no colonies
1
@zazapachuliaisbetterthanjo6254 lmao most of the world's problems can be traced to globalism but you sit here and claim that globalism solved them. That's the point.
