  2.  @GreenBlueWalkthrough  A-10 cruise speed is like 330 knots, not anywhere close to transonic. You don't want to fly in the transonic regime anyway, fuel consumption is higher than past 1.2M.

  3. It's only "difficult" because Congress made it impossible. The OA-X program proves that the military was willing to acquire a cheap solution but without an A-10 retirement they will not spend money on aircraft that won't be used against peer threats.
