Yes. Because you can drop the n-word with the soft A or hard R in the end, the latter being more offensive. The other one doesn't have a soft variant.

Pewdiepie essentially went on a crusade pointing out hypocrisies regarding other content creators with pewnews, did the consistent uploads thing, and leveraged the T-series drama. He worked his ass off to mitigate the effects.

But how does it make sense? The N-bomb is dropped either with the soft "a" or the hard "r". It's pretty specific to that word.

Doesn't matter. People got mad at Liam Neeson for admitting to slight racism (more like profiling since he was looking for a criminal who matched a description) 40 years ago.

I'm 29. There's no soft way to drop the R-word, it's just used in one way. It's surprising to me so many have a parallel interpretation.

It's soft A (sounds like "guh") versus rolling the R off the tongue. That's why people call it hard.

@Zoom15000 Because in many situations it's """acceptable""" to drop the N-word. The reason there's a "hard R" is that using it is either a major faux pas or had the full intent of a racial slur.

Ever heard of Boondocks?

It's because the N word can be used in two forms: one ending with the soft A, the other ending with the hard R. The mental disability one is only used in one variant so there's no need to specify if it's soft or hard.
