@keiraaaaaaaaaaaaaa Makes perfect sense. Shooting someone is an unfortunate part of the job, and an investigation has to be done to verify if procedure was followed. Having sex on the clock is flat out neglecting one's duties.

@GoharioFTW Being unarmed doesn't mean you are harmless. If you're beating someone senseless in the middle of a street, plugging you is 100% justified. I don't know which blow is going to put an innocent person in a vegetative state, and I'm not going to wait to find out.

Because an investigation is required to determine if the shooting was unjust. Jesus people have complained about textbook perfect shoots. Like the one in which a girl was stabbing the other to death and people were like "🤨 was shooting her really necessary?".

@CrystalRose1111 Have you ever been in a physical fight? An unarmed "civilian" (cops are civilians too, civilian or military status has nothing to do with physical ability) can beat up an armed opponent if he refuses to reach for the weapon. I can send you a video of my kickboxing fights, hell I can send you a video of me losing by split decision and getting my nose busted. I've been in fights, I think I know more about fighting than you do.

@GoharioFTW It's not an execution is a person is taken out under extreme circumstances in the defense of self or others. There's a reason why countries without the death penalty still issue handguns to officers. It's not a sentence - it's a life saving measure. If you disagree with that, then argue for cops to be completely disarmed. Maybe when you get beat up or stabbed they'll threaten to whistle really loud to deter your attacker.
