@Neko_Medic Reminder: MMA fighters train under those sets of rules, people who don't train can't rely on "breaking the rules" to win a fight. Like Bas Ruten once said "who do you think is going to kick you in the nuts harder, the guy who trains or the guy who doesn't?".

 @TheHuskyK9 If given the choice to fight 5 random men from the general population or 5 low level combat sports athletes, you'll pick the first. Don't even try it.

@Zack-vi7is Amateur fights is how pros get started. By definition. There's people in the amateur scene who simply started too late in life, or had kids and had to work full time and couldn't go pro, etc. People get mauled in amateur fights too, it's not a hugging contest.

@Zack-vi7is Alex Pereira worked at a tire shop in Brazil. He's now the LHW champ in the UFC. MMA fighters are plumbers, roofers, electricians, cashiers, Uber drivers, etc. because fighting doesn't pay the bills. Conor McGregor was on unemployment benefits after being an apprentice electrician or whatever.

@Zack-vi7is Amateur fights are scheduled by coaches. Untrained people getting into the ring just costs the promotion money. You pretend to know how this works but you clearly haven't been close to the amateur scene, the gyms have group chats to arrange fights. Most coaches will not let you fight if you are not consistent with your training.
