@KingBarney if people were proposing legislation that treated the victim differently based on gender it would be 100% legitimate to bring up the fact that men get raped too. I find it funny that the standard response is bringing up the fact that our families weren't there. There's nothing you can do to me to make me change my convictions. I will not hate airplanes if my family dies in a crash. I will not focus on the gun if my family gets gunned down. Trying to paint this as lack of empathy when the tweets are clearly BTFO'ing the vultures who abuse tragedy for political clout is ironic.

1. weapons are not illegal in the rest of the world, very few countries ban them 2. even in places with struct gun control crime is high Yeah, it's a crazy idea because it's been tried multiple times and it doesn't work.

VISA the card? Well, the cards are handled by private banks who choose their own requirements. The requirements to buy a gun are handled by federal and state laws which need to respect the constitution.

Gun control doesn't do shit. Gun crime in the UK rose after gun control. Brazil and Mexico are almost warzones in certain areas and yet they have strict gun control laws. Gun control is just letters on a piece of paper saying you can't have a gun. Criminals don't care about the law.

But that's a weak comparison. When there's a car accident you don't see the vultures trying to hover around the bodies for political clout. When there's a mass shooting they appear and try to push their politics while the iron is hot.
