  2. Will W First of all, if one has the ability to, a driving school would be a better investment than any mod. Squeezing every last bit of performance out of a shitty car is an underestimated skill. Second, people need to be honest with themselves and decide what they're looking for. Status symbol with a luxury interior and resale value? Yeah, not getting that one out of a modded car. But, and I'm spitballing here, 50% of the people who think like that are shitty drivers who'll never get the most out of the V8, V10 or V12 under the hood and are probably more interested in how much tail the car is going to get them. I have a friend who probably has 5k put into a car for the track. It's meant to be abused at the track, he doesn't care about depreciation and honestly the car can't go into negative value so he'll never lose that much if he does end up selling it. He was honest about what he wanted, it's definitely not a daily driver.
