The US has stockpiles of materiel while Europe is buying back armor it sold for scrap prices at hundreds of thousands of Euro per unit. A lot of European equipment requires American parts anyway.

Nothing is hidden. You can buy high res satellite pictures or even watch the drone footage. You simply can't hide events of this scale.

Billions spent on homelessness. The issue isn't solved by spending money. There's mental, cultural and "pharmacologic" reasons for homelessness you can't fight by waving dollar bills.

An "EU army" would be worthless, what we should have is every country maintaining a decent armed force. But everyone is unwilling to commit because having a nominal force and scraping materiel cuts costs. The EU Army is just a way of deflecting responsabilities towards Brussels instead of just biting the bullet and investing on the military as both a fighting force and an attractive career.
