Batteries don't have the power density to make killer robots.

If you run against a wall the wall will stop you even though the wall is stationary.

A lot of modern equipment is just upgraded 50 year old designs. Things plateau.

@thesearchforterrestrialint7795 Ground drones by virtue of a curved earth lose signal easily, drone swarms are easy pickings for airburst autocannons or DEW.

@thesearchforterrestrialint7795 It really doesn't matter when 60 cent shotgun shells swat legged or flying combat drones. Those widgets off a production line can't beat a 100 year old production line - ammo. Nobody chose to employ trench warfare. Trenches were the static defenses in the Ukrainian flat lands while the conflict was frozen. At the start of the war Russia clearly chose maneuver warfare, but ambushes and the support elements carrying ammo and fuel being taken out forced the fighting to become static and positional. I have proof of the actual shape of the Earth because not only was my father a military aircraft crewman who had to understand navigation and did a lot of naval work due to maritime patrols, I also did horizon experiments by looking at ships from different altitudes at the coastline. Everything from artillery tables to shipborne gun calculators has to take into account the curvature and rotation of the Earth. In fact when the Falklands war kicked off, a British ship crew forgot to flip the mechanical gun calculator when crossing the Equator, so when they got close to Argentinian positions they were entirely missing their shots since the calculations were being done for the Northern hemisphere.

Your understanding is wrong. The Patriot was tested against hypersonic glide reentry vehicles (a Pershing II warhead) in the late 90s.

@rick6672 Because of initial bugs, use of anti-aircraft interceptors against missiles and bad performance from Saudi and Emirate operators. You didn't hear about all the successes.

Was it? Can we see the pictures?

The Russo-Ukrainian conflict is several centuries older than NATO.
