Comments by "Titanium Rain" (@ChucksSEADnDEAD) on "Zoe Quinn Needs An Investigation..." video.
If the claims are true you're not held liable for how people react to the truth. Otherwise journalists wouldn't be able to expose corruption for fear of being charged with manslaughter when CEOs or politicians commit suicide. If you make damaging statements that are untrue you can be sued for libel/slander.

@thenetgamer2 "The proof is in the pudding" - don't expect to win a court case with that one. "it has a definable history with witnesses to the events" - I haven't heard from any witnesses that could prove her story to be false "There is irrevocable proof that her actions had REAL consequences" - So? Many people said Epstein was a pedo and now he's dead. He wouldn't be if people didn't bring it up. It was a real consequence. Should people be punished for that? We can't punish all consequences considering that every action has them. Like I said, a journalist shouldn't be punished if a CEO kills himself after corruption is exposed. To nail Quinn, you'd need to prove she lied because then she can be liable for the consequences. "There is no GamerGate backpedaling nonsense that can save her" - imagine if you will a jury composed entirely of 40 year old moms who saw the SVU episode on gamergate. You still think she won't save her ass? She's been doing it for years and you expect it to stop working now? All I'm saying is, if the legal system worked like you people think it does, men like Alec would have been successfully convicted left and right because of piss poor standards of evidence.

@AoiFlame02 my point is that you can't sue people for making true statements. Which was the question brought up on this thread.

@thenetgamer2 "There is no known evidence to support Zoe's case that isn't hearsay" - and do you have any evidence that disproves them? That's the sort of shit you people need to worry about before going to court. She's got no evidence? Tough shit, you need to prove that she's guilty and she doesn't need to prove she's innocent. Without having a way to prove her guilty beyond reasonable doubt she'll simply cry on the stand about GamerGate meanies harassing her and the jury won't fucking side with you unless you have the smoking gun. Notice that we're the ones claiming we want a fair justice system, we can't be asking the courts to railroad people simply because "we all know she's a bitch" or "she obviously lied".

@thenetgamer2 "I cannot change someone who isn't willing to think outside his box" - is this what you think the legal system should be? People trying to think outside the box to fuck over each other when the direct methods don't work? "Will there have to be an investigation? No shit, there will be" - what are the charges, then? "you're literally straw-manning;" - I am literally not. I am taking everything you say and explaining you why that doesn't work. A strawman is when you make someone else's point for them and easily defeat it. "I'm done" - because you know you're fucking wrong but you can't fucking admit it. You're spitballing, throwing the buttered toast at the wall and see if it sticks. You said we have to think outside the box... Please, realize how fucked up that is. That's exactly what people like Zoe Quinn do. Don't you realize that she knew she couldn't fuck with Alec directly or at least through the legal system, so she ruined him with an "outside the box" method. Holy shit mang if your disqualification for a conversation is bringing up an analogy of someone who allegedly committed suicide you're seriously lacking in brain power. Learn to juggle topics at the same time. Analogies. They exist. They work. Suck it up.

@thenetgamer2 dude so far I'm the only person actually explaining how you can't charge people for MURDER willy-nilly. "You're points are irrelevant to me" - *your "might make sense to you with your logic" - and the logic of any prosecutor or judge "I see that an investigation is needed" - you keep repeating this but you can't even name the charges. What is the accusation? What is going to be investigated? You keep alluding to a pie in the sky but you can't even tell how that shit is gonna get baked let alone put up there. And that's the problem. I understand the anger. I understand the frustration. But slander and libel are extremely hard to prove in court, and someone killing themselves over non-libelous/non-slandering claims isn't a crime.
