As opposed to an ironic increase in traffic.

@Reddison Many modern websites/apps strip metadata. That means you have to trawl the internet for the earliest posts and find original files with the metadata intact as there was less security concerns then.

It was supposed to be what you'd find if you glitched out of the real world. Offices are real spaces, but you'd get the sense it's not real. The room seems real, the smells seem real, the buzzing of the lights seems real. But the place is nonsensical. It's almost like something that doesn't fully understand human spaces tried to create a space that would seem familiar but you can tell something is wrong. Like AI images adding random numbers of fingers to hands. Then it dawns on you the place has no exit so unless you glitch back to the real world you're just gonna run out of water. The final sentence delivers the gut punch by suggesting that if you hear something it also heard you. So now you're left wondering if you'd rather spend the next few days accepting your fate and wondering about those who'll notice you missing, or go out quickly but in panic and pain. It's really a great short story because it combines three fears: the uncanny valley of stuff that seems man made on the surface but it's a mimic, the sadness of being unable to even explain what happened to you and the pain your relatives would get from the lack of closure, and finally the straightforward terror of coming to a violent end that's not up to your choice.

@Shadowiann_ It was a picture of a storefront in Japan parodying Microsoft Windows. Some guy went into the rabbit hole and found the exact location of the store.
