@walkfromwalkstreet The bombing of Yugoslavia was a sad event but the fact is that defenses prioritized their survival over defense of the country, so the bombing of infrastructure had to be carried out to pressure the leadership. If anything, it's much more forgiving than Russian tactics. The highway of death was an attack on a military column. Unless an enemy army has surrendered, it's legitimate to prosecute the target to deny the enemy warfighting capabilities.

@walkfromwalkstreet What false news? The situation is not the same at all. Two sides are engaged in conflict and Ukrainian troops are dying for their country. And Ukraine has sacrificed its own infrastructure to halt Russian advance. Meanwhile the Yugoslav forces did use Albanians as human shields. If you want to talk about evacuation corridors, you have to first mention the terms and conditions. Baghdad? There's April 2003 satellite photos showing most of the city still standing, unlike what Russians did. The bombings on Baghdad were directed at Iraqi leadership, Republican Guard targets and radar defenses. And The Ukrainians, who Putin said are brotherly people, are being gunned down like dogs. That tells more about the people you're defending than the Americans.

@fuzz.. There aren't "two sides". If I'm talking about Soviet atrocities people who go "but the Nazis!" are trying to excuse it and if I'm talking about Nazi atrocities people who go "but the Soviets!" are trying to excuse it. It's not a two side thing. We're not trying to meet in the middle to agree on an allowable amount of atrocity so both sides can be happy. There's people trying to excuse war crimes, full stop, trying to abuse good faith. I don't care how the world gets viewed, there's gunning down civilians and holding fire. They should have held their fire. Full stop.
