  5.  @shoribrother  Ancient cold war weapons. They're not sales, they're loans and free aid. The weapons have been bought and paid for decades ago so it's not a weapons sales event. It's just Russia losing against old Western equipment.

  8. The Russian air force, just like many former Soviet countries' air forces, was not set up to penetrate and disable enemy air forces. They're just larger than Ukraine's air force. But the pilots have low hours of training, aircraft lack parts, they have small quantities of anti-radar missiles, and a significant lack of precision weapons. The US not only has guided bombs but also glide bombs which extend the range from which they can be dropped - this helps disable air defenses.
