@cipherP9 He wasn't moving to stand up. He was getting head hunted for sport, his body was rolling away as a reflex defense against the threat, then when the ref calls it off he plants his hands on the ground. If the ref didn't intervene, he wouldn't have gotten up.

 @chrismurray1558 he only tried to get up after the ref called it off - he has the starched arms while getting hit, he only plants his limbs after Sean stops hitting.

@cipherP9 Ref has to see, decide on whether to make the call, then actually get in the way to wave it off. Human reaction time is what, 220-250 milliseconds? Add another half second to cover the distance with a hop and raise the arms. Basically, the fight was over 3/4ths of a second before we got to the point where Aljo could have done something. The ref can't read minds, if you want to do something you have to do something. Not wait for the 20th unanswered shot and hope the ref can see the cunning plan.

@cipherP9 Attempting to return to one's feet with stiff arms and a concussed look won't convince a ref. Protect yourself at all times.
