  1. More like, Turkey thinks it can do anything it wants and see no repercussions. When they demanded the Patriot tech transfer and obviously were denied, they acquired the Russian S-400 system. As expected they got booted from the F-35 program. The watermelon seller thinks he can have it all and piss everyone off, then acts offended when his actions have consequences.

  2. ​ @kingp1n817  Syria was absolutely a priority for Russia. They just can't do anything about it. Most wars don't end like this because Syria's armed forces were gutted, and their IRGC and Hezbollah allies have already been fighting Israel so they couldn't support the SAA. It was a rotten structure that only needed a kick to break down.

  3. The SAA lost its best fighters and has a severe competency problem. There's also an issue with corruption and finances as their troops were getting shafted on pay and food rations.

  4. The rebels cut off the M5 highway in the north and had a surprise pincer coming from the south. The SAA was already surrendering in other cities so it was hopeless to resist on a cut off city.
