Comments by "Titanium Rain" (@ChucksSEADnDEAD) on "The Stealth Fighter Russia is Too Scared to Deploy?" video.
The US sent F-22s to Syria.
3
The "brains" made a "stealth" aircraft with exposed fan blades, rivets/screws, huge panel gaps and round engine covers.
3
No need to be salty, Russia had every chance to get the Su 57 right and what did they do? Allowed it to remain vaporware.
3
Hello Glavset, still haven't got your morguilization papers?
3
There's around 170 F-22s in flying condition and we already have a replacement lined up. Stop coping.
2
@acidbot666 It works doesn't mean it works well. Combat in Syria? Doing what? Sight seeing? In Ukraine? What munitions did it use?
2
There's been prototype weapons pressed into service in Ukraine, like one of a kind T-80 variants. However, they're not scared of losing a T-80. Losing a Su-57? Big no no.
2
@I_Cunt_Spell You people get baited into using slurs easily
2
This is cope. The Su-57 program died when India rejected it.
1
@chadbernard2641 laugh all you want, just like the Armata it needs foreign investment to finish
1
@chadbernard2641 They have prototypes. Big whoop. They build them slowly because of lack of money and they're prototypes, not mass produced.
1
@chadbernard2641 I'm quaking in my boots. Lockheed Martin delivered the 600th F-35 last year. Let's settle that one in the air.
1
@MrDCrosswell there were like three crashes in a span of a month in Russia/Ukraine which is the sane number as the F-35 had in 15 years.
1
A lot of it was. You could beat it with a hammer to fix it, but it was dainty in the sense that it broke down often.
1
You don't use thrust vectoring to outmaneuver missiles. The missile goes fast enough that the tighter you turn the less adjustment the missile needs to slam into you.
1
@RacerX888 The problem is that - turn radius. Only at the very last second would a missile use turn radius. All the way up to impact the missile figures the X, Y, Z coordinate of the predicted intercept path and flies as straight as possible towards there. Trying to do flips in the air is like the sword tricks against Indiana Jones, who pulls the revolved. Thrust vectoring? Okay, you're killing air speed. Direct impact, airframe torn to pieces.
1
@martinsavage6838 Russia can't fly over the airspace they own, needs to use Iranian drones.
1
@martinsavage6838 Very busy spamming unguided rockets and running away.
1
They've deployed one of a kind tanks in Ukraine. That's not the issue. If the Su-57 gets shot down it will be an embarassment.
1
Not true. Most Western air defense were short range IR seeking MANPADS. Su-57s would be able to fly over them with impunity.
1
@1SCme To deal with Iranian drones.
1
The problem is the jet. It's not in production so a foreign country would have to pay for it to be finished.
1
Cope. The Russian army was shredded and now they're using civilians and prisoners as cannon fodder.
1
Pure hopium. What sanctions? After India pulled out, there's no chance it gets produced.
1
@_Epsilon_ The Su-57 doesn't carry the R-37 missile.
1
Radar also "flows" around the circular surface and return back. The F-22 and F-35 noses have angles on the sides to break up this flow.
1
The F-35 is in service in multiple countries and has over 600 delivered. There's only 16 Su-57s produced, two crashed, and you have never heard of the rocky development because there's no transparency in Russia while Western media profits from reporting on the F-35 as a failure.
1
They took their sweet time. It's never going to be produced, India pulled out.
1
@colonel-klink14 that's not how it works. Russians claim they have a radar blocking grid. But it would block incoming air. Serrated edges do nothing, the speed of the fan blades would cause doppler shift.
1
@colonel-klink14 there's photos of the intake, there's a straight shot into the fan blades.
1
@_Epsilon_ The F-117 radar blocker worked by following the shape of the aircraft and by having the intakes above the "belly". The entire aircraft looks weird due to how it was designed, so the blocker and intakes are part of the design. The Su-57 looks like someone glued F-22 parts to a Sukhoi fighter. The radar blocker doesn't complement the design, it's an addition to a more conventional intake duct.
1
Over 600 F-35 deliveries achieved last year, with over 100 yearly production schedules. It's doing very well.
1
There were rumors about a F-19 and triangle shape aircraft. But it was assumed to be rounder.
1
"Nooo you can't be heckin' negativerinooo to the airplane or address the root causes of its problems..."
1
We know very little, we need to take indirect observations.
