  2. They are durable when you have a thousand planes to pull parts from. Individual aircraft themselves are finicky. I think MiG-29 engines have half the hours of a Western fighter jet engine. So a MiG will need twice the engine replacements in its service life. If you can't get new engines, they're difficult to maintain.

  5.  @yellowgreen5229  I am better than Putin. I was actually against the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and although we did go in we didn't intend to conquer the countries.

  6.  @yellowgreen5229  But we didn't. Iraqis did it to themselves. The Ba'ath party started sowing sectarian division and Iran started funding militias. The hundreds of thousands were not killed by Western troops but Iraqis.

  7. Red Flag is done with "aggressor" squadrons. A-4 Skyhawks to mimick MiG-17s, F-15s to mimick Su-27s and F-16s to mimick MiG-29s. These are the secret aircraft that were used to gather information on the real thing, rather than simulate it.
