Sorry, was that sarcasm? Because 3x30=90. It doesn't take a calculator. If you make precision calculations off your head, then they aren't being precise hence it's not a precision calculation.
Of course that the ºC to K conversion is easy, the scale is the same but one is relative to the absolute zero. Same goes for Fahrenheit and Rankine. If I see that it's going to be 104ºF in Tucson, Arizona I know that's hot, I don't need a Celsius conversion. Now, if I need to design an A/C unit that is going to have to handle the Arizona summer, I'll bring a calculator because it's my job and I'm not going to do it from the top of my head.
Your point is impossible to get, because you're simultaneously arguing for precision while wanting it to be achieved without precision tools. Basically in everyday situations a normal person can learn to use both scales if conversion is hard (if you're picking clothes for the day you don't need the exact temperature because it's going to fluctuate anyway), if you're a pilot/scientist/engineer/whatever you shouldn't be trying to do a precision job without resorting to the proper tools.
A Ti-83 costs about 100 bucks on any electronics/office supplies store and a ton of people buy them for highschool and college so you should have your own by now. If you don't, so many people get them that you can find them cheap used. If computers or cellphones to emulate the Ti software are so rare where you live, I'm sorry that you live in the third world.
