@ricomajestic You moved the goalposts. The 9/11 attack was a well financed attack on the US as retaliation for US intervention in the Middle East. The following attacks as retaliation for Afghanistan and Iraq were less organized and financed, plus had to go against a stronger surveillance apparatus. But countries like Spain and the UK suffered public transportation bombings as retaliation for their contribution to NATO efforts in the Middle East. And France was targeted by massacres that served as retaliation for actions against ISIS. So in the end, if any attacks were foiled it wasn't due to troop presence in Afghanistan or Iraq because terror cells moved around the world. When Qaddafi was killed and Libya went downhill, it became a hotbed for terror groups. Al Qaeda has cells in Yemen. Bin Laden spent a lot of time in Sudan before he asked the Taliban for asylum.
