Plot twist: those techniques don't work and will hardly kill anyone, so it doesn't matter

william waddell You can cause a deadly brain hemorrhaging if you punch someone, does that mean boxing is some crazy deadly technique? You can kill someone if you put them in a RNC until the brain has been deprived from oxygen. If you can't control it, it doesn't work. I can put my shin into someone's temple, but I do it in a controlled manner because it's not good etiquette to knock your sparring partner out. If you can get your magical thumb into the magical pressure point that kills (hurr), you can do it at full speed but without striking. Do you know how strong the neck is? You can crank someone's neck full speed without snapping it, because it takes tremendous force. Whatever crazy technique can always be done in a controlled manner. If you can't, then you can't use it in real life because you've never used it for real either.

william waddell Semantics. If I elbow you "12-to-6" to the back of the head it's against the rules of the sport MMA (for two different reasons). But I can control it so it won't harm you. You also aren't supposed to rabbit punch people in boxing or use takedowns, but I can do a rabbit punch with no power or a takedown not meant to slam you. Even though those are against the sport aspect of boxing, you can control those techniques. Besides, you haven't mentioned which techniques you're talking about because you know I can show how they can be done with control. Keep deflecting, bud.

william waddell Well, the submissions in traditional jiujitsu and modern BJJ also cause damage (some of them can cause damage before pain becomes unbearable). But they can be done controlled.
2
william waddell So you are saying that a deadly technique won't cause a knockout or pain submission if done with control? I was arguing over the subject of sparring, not a fight, so nevermind some of the things I said. Unless you're speaking of twisting someone's neck, most things that kill will usually cause pain or damage. Something that won't do those until it breaks the threshold? Doubtful.

william waddell A few people? So, it's basically non-repeatable by unbiased sources? Look, some guys claimed to have made cold fusion with the use of red mercury or some shit, nobody could reproduce the results. Normally when that happens, it's bullshit.
2
william waddell Mystery and advanced. So basically, not even worth considering because nobody will teach them.

I learned how to slam my shin to someone's temple for 22 a month, so I'll pass.

william waddell Kidding, my point is that my kickboxing is sort of proven vs reasonably skilled opponents and I'd rather fall back to gross motor skills in times of stress rather than complex moves.

william waddell I'd consider myself safer with a "handgun" I could shoot at a range for practice than a "bazooka" which I could never use until the time comes.
1
william waddell The bazooka is something that is extremely deadly, but you can't exactly use on people you like. I can trade punches 6 days of the week and none of us get killed. Needless to say, I'm better at something I do almost every day than something I can't train with other people without killing them.
