I don't know how how much I can say without getting deleted for "spreading misinformation" because I'm not a doctor, but... essentially we understand the mechanism of infection that is killing people. We know how to save those who are critical and it's not respirators or O2.

The problem is that the ones who took it are also circulating. It reduces symptoms. It doesn't prevent transmission. The people who told you it was essential were speaking out of the both sides of their mouth. Hence the contradictions with them saying that people who took it still need to social distance and wear a mask. We still remember that, right?

@CiGambino "Almost zero" okay but if you dropped a million revolvers in the middle of the street and told me only one was loaded, I still wouldn't play Russian roulette. You really should look at the data coming from Israel and the UK. Taking an almost zero risk for zero gain makes no sense. The effectiveness is pathetic.

@CiGambino Again, the real world deployment shows that there's no gain for certain age groups, and the gains are minimal for the age groups in which it works. There's a reason Israel might have to go into lockdown again.

@CiGambino Public Health England's technical briefing number 20 says otherwise. 47K cases with 408 deaths for two doses. 151K cases with no doses, 256 deaths. By your own logic, this is the only metric that matters. You've lost. Israel is showing extremely poor effectiveness and is introducing restrictions. They might have to go under lockdown as the attack rate for the double dosed is roughly the same or in some cases higher than no doses. With respect, you're wrong.

@CiGambino The attack rate is similar for double-dosed and no dose. Only the the age group 70+ and above are showing moderate effectiveness, with the 60-69 age group showing negative effectiveness. The 20-29 group shows 3 percent effectiveness. Womp womp.

@CiGambino What are the researchers saying? What part of the tale am I missing? This isn't perfect being the enemy of good. Your own narrative requires perfection. We already had the good. You promised the perfect. We don't have it. Now nothing changed. No, I didn't expect anything to be perfect. I just didn't expect such a debacle. The point of your narrative was doing it for the community. It's not working. It works at a personal level. It protects YOU by reducing the severity of what happens to YOU. It doesn't protect others. @CiGambino You're changing the subject. You really got beat so bad you had to flip the conversation around? The ICUs are full because there's no prevention or early treatment being done. Overwhelmed with whom? Data from other countries is already showing that the majority hospitalized have the double dose. Yeah, they "work". In very specific age ranges (3% efficacy in my age group per the Israeli data, which is PITIFUL) and only at reducing symptoms, not transmission or preventing mutations. They NEED to work perfectly by your own standards. If they don't, it makes everything WORSE by generating resistant strains. Jesus. The verdict isn't out. Look at the Israeli and UK data. Specifically Public Health England's Technical Briefing 20 from 6th August 2021. The double-dosed group has HIGHER FATALITY than the zero dose group despite having LOWER cases as a whole. There's talk of a third dose because antibody levels plummet after 3-6 months. It's not the best tool, because it DOESN'T work except at saving the older age groups, which is 70 and above because 60-69 actually has NEGATIVE efficacy according to the Israeli numbers. In fact, it's a terrible tool because of the potential that resistant strains are being generated.

You're calling me a liar because you didn't look at the report I told you about. You're just in denial. 3. Israel is putting restrictions back into place. They'll probably lockdown again. 4. You don't care about truth, you care about what you're being fed. Maybe it tastes good, I've never tried it. 5. You're the one dealing in absolutes, pal. The CDC director Rochelle Walensky pretty much admitted that what I'm saying is right and you're wrong. Mask up, bucko. No, you haven't provided anything rational because it all hinges on what you hope is true, not what the actual authorities are saying. You can agree to disagree with reality what you want. But you can't disagree with the CDC's call to reinstate mask mandates that proves me right. You're the one not interested in having a good faith discussion. You can find information that isn't about chickens from established sources - not Vanden Bossche, by the way. Nitpicking the detail that humans and poultry are different is strange. 2. We need to check for spread. Like shown India has low vaccination rates and China's Sinovac appears to be less effective, as expected. CFR for 12-30 averages closer to 0.028%, not .10% per CDC data. Additionally, Israel saw an increase in acute coronary syndrome and cardiac arrest in the younger age groups compared to the 2019 and 2020 average. A very small percentage compared with the number of vaccinated of course, but risks have to be weighed. Again, per CDC data ages 0-17 had more deaths than the flu, but less than half than the ones by pneumonia. A mass campaign targeting the youth, even with very low chances of side effects, is gonna affect more people than the ones we lost. Same reason the British didn't fire AAA at incoming V2s over London.
