"The F 35 is master of no trade at all" - Why? "Name one in which no other type doesn't best it." - Literally can be said of any other aircraft. By that logic the F-16 is a garbage plane because it can't carry as much bombs as a Strike Eagle. Even masters can get beat. The point is being a master at the biggest number of roles possible. If a F/A-18 can make air to air kills on route to a strike mission, drop bombs on target and come back the concept is proven. There's nothing to say the F-35 can't do the same.

The "jack of all trades" clowns arrived in full force. Someone tell the F-16 it can't be so good at dogfighting that's used as the stand in for the MiG-29 in aggressor squadrons and it can't be so good at bombing to be used for Operation Opera.

@grumpyfinn Only true for the B and C variants and even then it only happens at very high altitude. The fact that the A variant doesn't have this problem means it's not the F-35 that is the problem.

Because the shape is too conventional to make a "silent" variant. Meanwhile if you look at the F-15 it already kinda has similar structural layout to the F-22.
