@mochithepooh5368 If I say that getting shot with bullets tends to make people die, that doesn't mean I'm saying getting shot is a good policy. I'm saying that the people who claim getting shot doesn't hurt you are wrong. I'm 100% for rehabilitation. I am just more of a realist and know that a blind rehabilitation program is just going to put people who don't intend to turn their life around.

@mochithepooh5368 Again, missing the point. It's like guns and gun crime. The point isn't that more guns mean less crime. The point is that as the number of guns increased in the US there was a reduction in violence from the peak in 1994 until the late 2010s. Anyone claiming that more guns would mean more crime us absolutely wrong. Period. That doesn't mean more guns is a prescription to reduce gun crime. That's not what's being said. The people who aay the opposite were proven wrong by reality and that's that.

@redaderoua8816 Stefan Molyneux, probably a decade ago, made a video on how black women were more likely to use physical discipline on children, and tied it to physical abuse leading to crime. One can more easily argue that physical abuse in single mother households is a better predictor of criminality than poverty. The point here is that you can twist yourself into a pretzel trying to point to a single environmental factor behind criminality to justify any political crusade you like. Banging on poverty poverty povery is simply a way to sell your goals to people who wouldn't agree with you otherwise.
