They were paid for ALL the work they have done for years, hence the billion view estimate. If you do me a favor and I can't pay for it, I just hire you to do a BS job. They are allied with NK which can use their profits from selling ammo to boost their capabilities to take South Korea. They are in an under the table relationship with China which wants Taiwan. Russia dumped the powder keg and is holding the match. They caused WWIII.
