  2. You should not intervine in a crime you didn't witness. That's exactly what the mob did to Kyle by assuming he fired first and he had to smoke a couple of them. If you go out there to play cop, you need to have a reasonable expectation that you might get the wrong guy, and he might decide to end you right there. And the law will be on his side.

The careers of the Rittenhouse attackers wouldn't matter much, if a bunch of upstanding citizens decided to attack Kyle he'd still have a right to ventillate them that night. It doesn't even matter if they were rioting or not. The shoot would be legal even if they were just observing the riots.

From the moment the aggression starts, it's weapons free. The victim has the right to fear that the worst is going to happen. This includes being kidnapped and tortured. It doesn't matter how many punches he got. The punches were legal self-defense and a criminal has no legal option but fleeing or taking the beating from his victim. He can't shoot. "amounted to a kidnapping. Arbery wasn't afraid for his life" - Is this a joke? "Fear doesn't drive you to sprint 10 yards towards a shotgun. Rage does that." - BS. So the people who charged mass shooters weren't afraid? It was rage? What an insane claim.

  13. If you're comitting a crime by performing an illegal citizen's arrest you can't shoot to protect the gun. Even thieves have the right to self-defense when they're not actively comitting a crime.

  18. That's the problem, the other things they are guilty of. If someone dies as a result of your crime, you will be held liable for that death. The shotgun was grabbed. Yes. In a maneuver that was a reaction to the McMichael's confrontation. If you instigated a confrontation, brought the weapon to the scene, fail to retain it in a way that leads to a struggle for the gun... You're in big trouble.

  20. The mob heard a gunshot and assumed Kyle fired first so they wanted to perform a citizen's arrest. Kyle smoked a couple of them even though the mob had reasonable suspicion he was a murderer.

If a death occurs when you are comitting a crime, you can be held liable for the death even if you didn't pull the trigger. If you're a kidnapper and a victim reaches for the gun, you don't fire. It's that simple. You ask God for forgiveness and whatever happens next happens.

  31. Not really. If they wanted a justified killing they should have been at the scene. If you go around on your truck looking for suspects and stop someone and you get shot because that person ain't having it, that person will have a legitimate claim for self-defense and your killing will be justified. So don't do it.

  33.  @davidmajor1508  If you falsely imprison someone, you cannot shoot someone if they reach for your gun. The McMichaels literally did what the prosecution falsely accused Kyle of doing. They sought confrontation and comitted a crime, thereby forfeiting their right to claim self-defense.

They're low IQ because one of the guys was a former cop, he should have known that it would have been better to not intervene and simply observe and report. You seem to not understand: if Arbery was armed and he was quicker on the draw, he'd get away with killing the McMichaels. You want a real world example? Go around and stop unidentified people on the street. You might find a guy who's not effing around, and he's probably not even going to get charged for smoking you.

  38. I'm on the "right", whatever that means, and the McMichaels are guilty. I think people see themselves as the McMichaels in this situation and don't even realize how incredibly stupid and irresponsible it is to create these confrontations.

  39.  @LePlerome  The "reasonable" is on thin ice, but regardless suspecting someone of a burglary does not legitimatize their behavior. They should have know that the confrontation would be dangerous and that presenting their firearms would complicate the situation. If George Zimmerman was walking after Trayvon with his gun out he'd have been found guilty.

  40. They were parked because they drove ahead and used the two trucks to corner the guy. Maybe they didn't want to kill, they just liked buttstuff that much. Doesn't matter, it was false imprisonment so they shot a guy while comitting a crime. Womp womp.

What I wanted to say is that your situation explicitly shows the state broadcasting a positive ID of the suspect so if you do see him, you have a reasonable expectation that it's the guy. The McMichaels essentially screwed themselves because they were chasing some guy they assumed to be the same person seen in the video. That's not a positive ID.

  48. Their chase resulted in someone's death. It happens that the death was caused by a struggle for the gun, but they provoked the situation. One person being a criminal doesn't change the facts. On the same day Kyle was acquitted, a felon in possession of a firearm was acquitted from the murder and attempted murder charges from when he shot at cops raiding his home. Even though he was committing a crime by having a firearm, that doesn't change the fact that the no-knock raid provoked a situation where he thought he was in danger and thus shooting at cops was justified.
