  1. The channel is old enough that probably a lot of accounts are old Google+ era. Youtube tried to change how accounts worked to integrate with Google+ but the social media never took off and they eventually gave up. If people just moved on and forgot about their original youtube account, which happens when people eventually create a new email account to use professionally (so you don't put your edgy named hotmail account on your resume), there could be tons of vacant accounts that subbed when Sam Seder went viral back in the old days.
