  7. spodefollower you can be the change you seek in the world. Be socialistic or whatever you call it. Organize yourself and a community according to your values, don't seclude yourself if that's not a thing you want. Just do v it yourself stop asking government to do it for you by force.

I do like Bernie some of his anti war stances and some of his common sense fixes but his economic view of the world would kill economy and put us under a second pile of unpayable debt.   13. stupidkitty84 you don't know what is the seen benefits of doing something vs unseen benefits of not doing something. The free market could do education better cheaper and faster not everyone is a college material many do not have the drive,intelligence, or study skills to succeed. People have limits. Having education as a value doesn't automatically make your people intelligent. People should also breed as if intelligence was important they rarely do that, it is an inheritable trait. All those programs you mention distort the economy and alter people's behavior based what they might get for free or at a discount vs whiat they might otherwise choose. The thing is when you take money from many to redistribute it to others you deny the original holder from spending it how they wished and there's no guarantee that who you give it to will be better in the long run for it. When you incentivize someone to do something or worse make it "free" you pervert the natural economy and it's market place price and incentive structures. Health Care is only expensive because the government got involved with it and we don't see the prices of the healthcare so we don't shop for it like we do for anything else. Think prices being displayed or in this case not being displayed. The consumer is an economic actor on the stage without knowing price and quality how can he keep those things in check? He cannot.
