  1. Quick version: Toro Rosso was known as Minardi,a famous backmarker team. Finally after 2005 season ended,they've run out of cash and sold the team to RB,and raced under the TR name since 2006 season. While 2006 meant that everyone needed to switch from V10s to V8 engine,TR had a special exclusion from the rule because they're still broke. So they can keep using the V10 from 2005,but the V10 engine had to be tuned down from 19,000 RPM to about 16,000 RPM,reducing power from about 900 to 700hp to prevent TR becoming overpowered. In 2020 TR was rebranded to Alpha Tauri to promote Red Bull's clothing brand.
