  9. I did Mount Pleasant to Luton in 1998 nonstop on a chartered Boeing 747, Iceland owned charter flight. It did many flights over a six month period supporting an offshore drilling campaign. The aircraft had been converted to ferry Sports teams, Rock Bands and the like around, only had around a hundred seats, It was a lot more comfortable that the flight out on a RAF Tristar from Brize Norton via Ascension Island.

  36. I always requested a right side window seat for flights into Kai Tak, that way I had a wonderful view of the skyscrapers as the aircraft banked right on to the landing approach. Use to wonder what the ladies hanging out the laundry on top of the buildings thought of the aircraft just above there head. I supposed the were used to them.

  42.  @fdfischer  The cargo straps were not faulty, they only fitted about 10% of the straps, I am unsure who was responsible but am sure the Loadmaster was part of the process,

  44. I spent 8 hours on a US Air Flight at Charleston "waiting" to be deiced. It never happened and we returned to the gate. Never flew with US Air again.
