  2. One fact missed is how a German Naval Intelligence officer managed to get from Chile to the UK during WW1 without being "Interviewed"? Then leave on a Ferry and then get to Holland. Was he "turned" during WW1? Chile was definitely Pro British and the transfer of the Dresden crew from Robinson Crusoe Island to the mainland and onward would have been watched, especially the Intelligence officer.
