@slang1517 then why didn't he just take his knees off completely? This just sounds like you are splitting hairs to justify what Chauvin did. And to be clear, I am not defending Floyd either, nobody deserves to die the way he did. Whether or not Floyd had pre-existing conditions, kneeling on his neck didn't help. So it really doesn't matter if Chauvin released pressure or not, he should not have been kneeling on Floyd's neck, period. I don't understand why you are trying to break this down at this level, the optics are already horrific.
