  2. This is so true. I recall going to my friend's house and just outside it was a banner with romantic platitudes and flower bouquets every where. After I sat down for tea with my friend, I asked her if she knew who set up the arrangements and she confirmed it was her ex boyfriend. Apparently he had gone through the whole campaign to win her back after they had broken up. Something in my heart died when even she told me how she rejected him even through all the romantic gesture. To this day I have never seen anyone do that stuff ever again. I felt like that was probably the last romantic, balls out, last ditch move to win back a lover's heart within the species and my friend rejected it outright. Yeah man, Dave is right. Women killed chivalry, romance is dead.
