Go look up the map of NATO during the soviet era and now, NATO has been violating its own charter by expanding eastwards, they are literally provoking Russia into a nuclear conflict, you should be horrified.

I dunno dude, every day more and more Ukrainian towns and cities fall to the Russians, I hear Mariupol is next. Did you know that one of the reasons for the slow progress on some of the cities is that Ukrainian neo nazi.s from the az.ov battalion are using civilians as human shields? Most of the mercenaries that went to Ukraine died through stand off weaponry bombardment, the survivors have to smuggle themselves out of the country as the Ukraine army refuse to let them leave. Many mercenaries report that they are being given scant equipment but are being sent to Kiev as cannon fodder. Doesn't sound like a winning story to me, don't believe the hype-ium and copium.

@Noschool100 that's because the azov battalion have been murdering Russian speaking people in the Donbass region for the last 8 years. They recently fired tovchanka missiles into Donetsk just last week killing civilians. There azov battalion are legit neo Nazis who are part of the Ukrainian military. So Putin was correct when he said he was fighting Nazis. There are Nazis in Ukraine. So yeah, are you so sure you are standing with neo Nazis? And while I do not condone the war itself I understand why it is happening. Something a lot of people do not ping because all they got from the Western press is that "Putin man bad". Also, the airport of Mariupol is now under control of the Russian military.

@jamessoyars9840 incorrect. NATO is the organization that is constantly saber rattling. And besides, what business did NATO even have in bombing Libya? Point when up until last year even when Russia has threatened any country outside the few on its borders seeking to join NATO? Cmon man..

@michaeldewitz1940 I don't know how you do the math on that calculation. Countries seeking to join NATO translates to NATO expansion eastwards. NATO could and should have just said no to any further membership and really should have been disbanded.

@michaeldewitz1940 does it matter? Additional membership still means that NATO expands, which is a violation of its own charter and a provocation to the Russians. So again 1+1 still equals 2.

@kevincrady2831 I looked it up and you are correct there is no written charter about eastward expansion only promises made as cited by declassified documents on the matter. So I stand corrected on that point, but at the same time I am dubious of the fact that NATO seems to ignore every act of good faith to keep the peace with the Russians. This is why the Russian-Ukraine war broke out and why we may have nuclear war fairly soon if the USA and NATO do not de-escalate matters.

@michaeldewitz1940 we had the Cuban missile crisis so we know what happens when one major super power decides to expand into the sphere of influence of the other. If the USA can lose their minds over nukes in Cuba then it wouldn't be far off for Russia to do the same with NATO troops on its border via Ukraine. And you seem to be lock jawed about the real politik nature of things so let me ask you the following; Would we have had the current conflict if NATO hadn't sweet talked Ukraine into joining NATO? Would we even have any of these consternations if NATO remained with its original founding members? Or just outright disbanded? All NATO has done is provoke the Russians, remember that fact after the nukes are launched. As for the charter, I looked into it recently as someone else asked about it and found it not to exist. Gorbachev was assured by leaders of the time that NATO would not expand eastward as one of the conditions for the reunification of Germany. And from the current Ukraine Russia war it certainly looks like they never kept true to any of them. So NATO are out right liars it would seem. I somewhat blame Gorbachev for not trying to get any of our written down and ratified but again NATO really should have disbanded after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

NATO has been expanding towards Russia's border for the past 30 years, they have always being doing something. The eastward expansion is a violation of their own charter.
