I actually contend that it is going very well according to plan. The Russians just don't want to mindlessly slaughter Slavs so they are avoiding certain cities and carefully fighting their way into strategic objectives. Contested Ukraine cities and towns are falling almost every hour so much so that the Ukraine president is considering recognising the separatist regions as independent states. I doubt he would even have the stomach to consider such a proposal if the Ukraine army was successfully holding off the Russians. I will have to disagree with your analysis. Don't believe the propaganda hype.
