  3. Concur. It is unlikely that a songwriter/producer team of such a "superstar" does not countercheck the product they are fabricating. If you become so big nobody dares to touch you, that's what they build on. I am however disappointed. Dua Lipa is definitely a person of great musical talent, and a performer. But she is doing stupid teeny junk.

  9.  @randalclarke5487  I do not think he is trying to legitimate garbage. You have to view this with respect to his properties being a producer. He has to take the artists vision of a song and make it reality. He can if asked, but he is not there for judging the cleverness of a composition, the lyrical qualities, the proficient instrument play, etc.. Today, the problem with this approach is, that there are too many "artist's" with the vision making as much money as possible with least effort. Just like a manufacturer would love to sell his expensive product made of bite-able water and cut-able air.

The rest is play back of the manufacturer tone banks which had been stored in electronic devices, all in the same pattern and fashion. The only acceptable Christmas Tune for me is I Believe In Father Christmas by Greg Lake.

Even if you took away the lyrics, this person should get the 50% she deserves. No less.   32. Paul McCartney is one of the top musicians of the century. His vocal skills and inspired bass playing are more than outstanding, it's both of legendary quality. Besides, he is an excellent keyboards player, guitar player, a perfectly capable drummer, and one of the most creative composers of the last 100 years. To me, it is inconceivable to find that talent all together bundled in 1 person. This alone is worth a documentary. How did this begin and develop? How is creativity created?

  33. I do not feel bad about Lenny Kravitz having a short piece of background vocals autotuned. However, I do see why the music before the 90's had so many great singers. No more Billy Holiday, Robert Plant or Greg Lake. That is why I think ALL autotuning is bad.

  39. Writing a song is one thing. Finding the most effective sounds and means to support its intentions, that is the other part. Thank you for showing this! I always liked this song, it has a beautiful flow and a hypnotic thumping rhythm. But I never thought it to be so sophisticated.

  44. In regard to the production of Dark Side Of The Moon. Since I heard some of Pink Floyd's live renditions, I got a different view to the production. Sure it sounds grandeur, smooth, technological advanced. However, several of the songs sound rocky-er and jazzy-er and bluesy-er in the "untreated" live-form. First I noticed it with Us And Them on the Immersion CD.

  45. I don't think they would make it today. At that time we bought albums, physical albums. The artists at least the serious ones had a certain concept how they wanted an album to be. We bought the album thinking that this is something we may like for longer, and we would like to hear it for years. Almost nobody today buys albums. Kids buy songs. These songs come and go. That concept would not work with a band like the Police.

  47. Previously, radio station were asked to reduce audiences recording of songs played, for example by talking into it. I personally believe playing songs on the radio did really help to make musicians more popular. And also to sell their music, therefore make a living from their music. In particular if they had good albums with no fillers, we wanted to have the entire album of our favourite music. I took pride in owning a physical album.
