  4. The country doing worst in Europe is the UK. I consider both countries US and UK being broke. But they were already long before the crisis. Infrastructure , education, health system, name it. The US heath system is world-class ... for the wealthy.

  5.  @ktan6738  Taiwan send health personal into the planes from China first thing after they landed in Taiwan. That was from around Christmas 2019. They disallowed exporting face masks and set the price to USD 0.17 per piece for everyone. Everyone got 10 face masks every two weeks. Disinfectant bottles were put up in busses, supermarkets, shopping centres. If you walked through a mall it could be you were temperature checked half a dozen times before you reached the other side. They know the Chinese comrades from the mainland, don't they?

  6.  @Ariels888  Iceland, Luxemburg, Finland, Germany, Austria, Israel, Switzerland, Poland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand. All these countries have done vastly better than the US with their enormous resources and skills. All these countries have a government managed health system.

  8.  @spencer62321  Both countries are having a bad showing at this moment, with UK sadly much worse than I even thought. And the US is silly, it's for long not over yet they insist in their rights. No need to worry about it, later in the coffin you will have unlimited rights.

  12. I do not think that it is a republic of the future. Just because something had been cladded up to look modern and people are catching up in terms of consumption does not mean anything.
