@anthonyburke5733 the usual flu virus infects millions of people every year, sometimes even several times. The fatalty rate is about 0.1 %. This virus's fatility rate is depending how you look at it in between 1 - 4 %. Shut up dummkopf : )

They know that there is more behind than a hygiene issue on a food market. That is why they need to hide. If it was just the food market, that's bad enough but there is nothing to hide.

@benjaminmairs9302 All leading virologists assume it will be sticking around for 2 years unless there will be a vaccine before. If there is no effective vaccine it likely will be two 2 seasons in several waves. - it is very hard to detect - it causes little symptoms first - it is very hard to contain - it is somewhat airborne (up to about 4 m Chinese say) - it can survive on hard surfaces long - it effects ill and old people much much more than young and healthy people suggests it's been designed. To many "hits" in one virus to be accidental. But to say that very clearly: I am not on of those who believe it has not been planted by the US into China. And yes, most also believe it will be ubiquitous. My personal prediction: The next one will be even worse.

@benjaminmairs9302 More people who have medical preconditions and in particular much more older people are infected, become critically ill, or die. There was a graph shown by Dr. John Campbell that showed infection rates in China. Especially those 80+ have are over-exponentially affected, in terms of infections numbers as well as in terms of CFR. "Hit" was may be a bit too sloppy. From the points that I mentioned one could conclude that someone was trying to assist solving the aging populace problem. But of course, we don't know, and ... as you will know as well ... it's only a very vague speculation. It is however a prove that this is not a "war" virus.

@benjaminmairs9302 If you look at the CFR for influenca, the rate for all patients it about 0.1 %. If you look at the same for the group below 50 yo only, then it is something with a couple of zeros behind the dot. Depending on which measurement basis you choose, you can make even me sound like being a millionaire, but I am not.
