  2. Even though the salaries sound low, you have to calculate with the side cost that you do not have in western countries. Building and maintaining housing for staff, providing the lunches, or a company transport are common. A paid company holiday. A year end lucky draw with prices for everyone. You also have to calculate with many Chinese holidays. You have to close the entire company for at least around 3 weeks per year. It is also not true that Chinese have no rights. And they do change the job very easily, you are constantly occupy resources with training the new staff. You need often 3 people to attain a similar productivity as a worker in our countries. And for certain job it is hard to find qualified people, and their salaries are not lower than ours. Manager levels can earn more than ours. The times are over when China was a low cost country. Note, I am not saying the Chinese people don't deserve all this.
