If a critical remark comes up, a common tactic is pointing at something bad in another country. Or playing the racist card. Do you actually have a checklist to run down what to answer?   10. Safety and efficacy data are only worrying. Skip that. Don't want to hear stories of people who have allergies and then have swelling and such symptoms after vaccination. Better die on the virus than having an allergy.

  13. I highly suspect that, too. John. They had a chapter in Singapore which were under police investigation since Feb 2019. It's been closed now. Members questioned by the police said they had talks about the virus already by beginning of November! I am not a religious person but these are terrorists not Christians.

The BBC - formerly a rock of quality journalism - is now a shadow of it's former glory. Anyway, I want to say something to the Sinovac vaccine. Before I really start, let me say ALL vaccines help to prevent serious illness and drastically reduce death cases, even the "weakest" ones. The biggest differences though is not how many hosititalisations are reduced (all do that, as I said). The real difference is how big is the immunisation effect, and that is top with Biontech/Pfizer, Moderna and Sputnik. We want to quit the pandemic? We need immune people. The problem with Sinovac is twofold. The WHO wants countries like India, Bangladesh and China to develop vaccines and distribute them to the world, but under agreed international standards! China does not follow these standards, India for example does. Secondly, it's the data. There is hardly any hard facts. The efficacy of Sinovac can be in between 50.5 to 92 % .... how is that possible? Biontech/Pfizer said it's efficacy is 95 %, the real world vaccination data from Israel reported 94 % with 600000 patients data. That's hard facts. This both together causes trust issues. Leave an information hole and people will fill that gap with rumours.

  20.  @HenryTitor  The procedure that China chose, phase 3 testing done by different countries Chile, Turkey, Indonesia, Brazil that is what the WHO does not want. They want the phase 3 to be done by the company itself, under their own umbrella and responsibility. These data should be supplied for peer review. Otherwise, you get exactly that what Sinovac got: Confusion. Bharat had 26000 people in their phase 3 and did supply data duly. On top of that, many people do not have trust issues with Indian pharma, because we know their products lack nothing and are among the best in the world. It takes decades to build that kind of trust.

  23. I only trust vaccines that have only undergone phase 1 or 2 in testing, no phase 3. Then there will be unlikely any reactions of people with allergy. Best would even be absolutely untested vaccine, then there is no data at all to worry about.

  24.  Steven Kong  Ok now serious. You have to divide the origin of the virus and the origin of the pandemic. The pandemic is easy, it started in Wuhan. The virus started likely in Yunnan, but that is not 100 % sure for me. I know Chinese have a completely different opinion to that.
