  1.  @rasi_rawss  Nope. I'm barely hanging on to the old 2 bdrm 1 bth 1947 house I live in. Property tax that pays for schools almost doubled where i live in central Ohio. Property tax is driving regular people out of their houses, especially old people. That's why their are so many elderly homeless now. Over half of homeless are elderly people.

  8.  @Pwn3540  There aren't that many gen x because zero population growth was pushed onto the older boomers in the late 60s and early 70s, via bill gates dad. If we had only known we were being manipulated by those "people", but we were young and didn't know or there would be a lot more gen x'rs. Lots of millenials have boomer parents. So I understand how gen x and bb's get lumped in together in your online conversations. I'm an older bb, in my middle 70's and far from rich. I don't understand why millenials and gen z think we are all rich because most of us aren't. Boomers make up the largest amount of homeless now, over 50% and growing.

  9. I'm a boomer and faaar from wealthy, have always had money worries, my entire life. But since I'm now in mid 70s, I've decided to stop worrying so much about it, just do the best I can.

  10. Lots don't and never did have much money even though they worked. Whatever they had, 2000 and 2008 took it away. It's like any generation. The haves and have nots. It's a made up myth that all bb's have lots of money. The women have less than the men b/c in their day, women got paid a whole lot less than men.

  12.  @watamutha  I was born during that period. I didn't get to go to college, had to work. Worked when I was a little kid too. Grew veg's and berries and sold door to door, cleaned houses, waitress at 13. Out of high school, had to work to support myself. Don't have a pension. Only men or government workers got pensions. I didn't steal anything from anyone. My parents were from the depression era and we were poor. You are thinking of the rich Ivy League types who ruled and still rule this country. You have been brainwashed, and think all bb'rs are Nancy Pelosi's and Joe Biden's. You couldn't be more wrong. And to prove it, the largest segment of homeless now is baby boomers, and growing larger by the day, and not because of drugs/alcohol. But because they don't have enough money to exist, and they are mostly women. I'm in Ohio. A 74 year old woman from Butler county Ohio who had no prior criminal record just robbed a bank.

  13. Yep. I know 3 older milennials. They all have a lot more money than me. And huge houses in expensive areas. They went to college and got bigtime jobs after. Old milennials are now middle aged lol.

  14. The worst tax is property tax on a house. Pay every year a huge amount like 10,000 every year. Schools get most of it.

  15. I'm a boomer woman. I was told I couldn't go to college. Later I found out that I had an iq of 135. Also, I was on the honor roll in high school. I was discouraged from being anything. I was discouraged from even being a wife and having kids. But I made my way with my own unique talent that I'd had since a toddler - singing. I got to stay in nice hotels for free and eat for free for many years and while other band members squandered their money, I saved mine. Then I got a neuromuscular disease that cut it all off, ruined my career. We never know what's going to happen. But a big rule is - never blame anyone else, and don't blame yourself either. Just do the best you can. Feeling sorry for yourself gets you nowhere. @grocerygoat06

Men were 'the thing' back in the day. Women were looked at as nothings. Now the tables have turned thanks to the boomer women who protested their treatment buy the ppwers that be.

  32.  @watamutha  Why do you say boomers stole from their parents? Boomers had the highest respect for their parents who were the ww2 generation. Even if boomer's parents didn't deserve respect, they got it. We all treated our parents very well. And no one stole from future generations except the government and the stock brokers, etc. Regular people haven't stolen a thing from you and don't want to.
