@izayaizaya8305 Property tax takes houses away from many elderly women who are alone. Even if the house is paid off, you've still got property tax and if you can't pay it, the county kicks you out of your own house and steals it. Property tax has gotten hideously high in many areas of the US. My area included - a suburb of Columbus Ohio.

@mikel.5896 You are so right. I'm sorry, but it's worse. She's 72. I'm just so glad she and her beloved cat found a really nice place to live. When a person gets older, every year gets harder. There are so many very low income elderly women now. Just so sad. Thank you for standing up for her.

@saraann6852 I wrote an answer. You tube took it off. So I'll just say no tax abatement for low income elders in ohio. Lots of tax abatements for big business though.

I'm so glad she got a nice place to live, but most of all so happy she got her beloved cat back and they are together again. Yes, it makes me tear up too.

All the senior apartments are taken in my area. And the other senior apartments are 3300 a month. There are so many low income elderly women. Not as many men b/c they got paid more and get pensions. Women didn't. It's a different generation that women were not equal, that's why so many elderly women are poor.

@lsmith9249 That's what I was wondering. Maybe one of her kids or one of her friends kept her cat for her. I was so happy to see she has a cat!

@saraann6852 Ohio gives a whole 25,000 off the value they set on the house, and call that homestead. It only amounts to a couple hundred dollars. You're lucky!

Property tax is always a worry for me. I'm older than her as well. I'm in an area of Ohio that has some of the highest property tax in the country, suburbs of Columbus. I worry that as I get older I won't have enough to pay it and the county will steal my house. My house is little too. Yes, both of us need to be grateful daily.
