@markburch6253 This is not true. We are atracted and we are closer and closer by Great Attractor. The universe is expanding yes, but it needs a lot of space between two points to make it count. That's why only very far galaxies are moving from us with speeds bigger than the speed of light. It is an effect of growing the space not a speed through space. Bottom line, near galaxies are not necessarily moving away from us, actually Andromeda comes to us. And look how you can go to bathroom with no problem. :) The bath do not run away from you. Expanding of the space increases with the distance between two points. Because it is more space that expanding. I hope it is clear now.
